| Introduction | My name is Lewis Baldwin and as you can gather I am a barbel angler. I started barbel fishing on The River Severn when I was 10, catching my 1st barbel back in 1991. I took up specimen barbel fishing 4 years ago concentrating on The Warwickshire Avon. I now also regularly fish The Teme and Severn. Barbel PB's are , Warks Avon 14lbs, Severn 12lb 12oz, Warks Arrow 11lbs and I am yet to catch one from the Teme so watch this space. When the conditons don't allow for me to barbel fish I do a bit of predator fishing. My PB's for other species stand at Pike22lb 11oz, Zander 12lbs+, Perch 3lb+, Bream 8lb 15oz, Chub 6lb 3oz and Carp 23lb 06oz. All of my fish are caught on rivers as I don't enjoy fishing stillwaters and there aren't many good venues worth a campaign in my area. |
