| Introduction | Born in Southern Illinois and raised in the small town of Mascoutah, IL. My family farmed 360 acres of "bottom ground" surrounded by another couple hundred acres of timber near Sugar Creek, just East of New Memphis, IL. Left home a few days after turning 18 and within a couple years found myself in Oregon where I've settled down for good. I have four children and two grand kids. We recently, in August 2017, achieved our goal of buying a small farm and now live on 21 acres off Upper Camp Creek Road in Springfield, Oregon. Our small farm goals are to raise and preserve our own foods, and to sell any excess production to help support our farm. |
