| Introduction | In November 2006 I started the DC Fair Trade Network, a growing grassroots, trade justice advocacy network for the Washington, DC area, connecting nonprofit professionals, business owners and conscious consumers. Subsequently, I designed and continue to manage a trade justice blog. I work with the Busboys & Poets Global Exchange gift shops, volunteer with Paper to Pearls, a micro-enterprise project working with women in refugee camps in northern Uganda, and with Ten Thousand Villages of Alexandria, VA. As of the new year, I will start as the new East Coast Sales Representative for Anti-Body, a fair trade body care company. Raised in Connecticut, I hold a Bachelors in journalism from University of Connecticut. During college I was a Staff Writer for the Daily Campus, an independent newspaper covering university life and interned for Irish Emigrant Publications, based in Galway, Ireland. Alongside this, I worked for nearly ten years in retail sales. |

If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
Clay is directed life energy; inspiration. I’m inspired by the act of patience & forgiveness. All I hope for from the world is it returns to me the same patience & forgiveness I give, & that I can improve myself to more clearly reflect this wish every day. I’m inspired by the strength of the people of our developing world & therein realize I can/we can face anything, including internal challenge.
