| Introduction | I've been collecting bird stamps since about 1970. I collect only those stamps that show birds found in the country of issue. My collection is arranged by species, following the order used in A Complete Checklist of Birds of the World by Richard Howard and Alick Moore (1st edition, Oxford University Press, 1980). I worked in the UK Civil Service from 1970 when computers occupied air-conditioned halls, and was involved with early use of the World Wide Web. |
