| Introduction | After graduating from high school I took a summer job working on the grounds crew at the Penn State University golf courses. I had a great summer and that fall I enrolled in Penn States agronomy program. While attending college I spent my summers gaining valuable experience. I spent a summer maintaining the turfgrass reseach farm at Penn State. A summer in Denver, Colorado working at Castle Pines Golf Club and a summer in Atlanta, Georgia at Settindown Creek Golf Club. In 1992 after graduating from Penn State I was hired by Huntsville Golf Club as the second assistant superintendent. The golf course had just begun construction and I started out working with the contractors installing drainage, laying sod and putting in the irrigation system. In a few years I was promoted to first assistant and then in 1999 I was promoted to superintendent. I live in Dallas, PA. I am married to my wife Janel and have two daughters Payton and Tyra. |
