Introduction I grew up on a family cow-calf operation in southwest Montana, then went to school at Montana State and New Mexico State. After receiving my PhD from NMSU, I took the Extension Beef Cattle Specialist job at Montana State University, located off-campus in Miles City. I spent 5 and a half years there, then accepted a job transfer offer to the MSU campus in Bozeman. I've been back at my alma mater since July 2012. I spend quite a bit of time traveling the state and region, conducting educational programs about beef cattle for adults and youth, as well as teaching a class on campus and advising the Collegiate Stockgrowers at MSU. My goal for this blog is to let you in on the glamorous life of an asphalt cowgirl! (Profile photo by Lauren Chase)
