| Introduction | Universal Church of the Kingdom of God Proclaiming the Word of God to all those who thirst for it. The UCKG was founded in 1977, in Brazil by Edir Macedo. His passion was to reach out to needy, less privileged people who were often excluded by established religions. The UCKG is currently in 176 countries and is still expanding; 13 years ago the doors of the Universal Church were opened here in Tanzania with one purpose and one purpose only – to set the captives free and to lead people to an encounter with God, which will enable them to experience the abundant life that He promised to all those who come to believe in Him through His word. |
