Introduction Greetings Nerds, Geeks and those who wish to pursue that noble title! I'm a freelance science writer for such organizations as the American Association of Variable Star Observers Insight Observatory at Kingston, MA, and various science webpages. I have been an astronomer for the past 35 years and have owned many types and sizes of telescopes, currently using an 8" f/6 Newtonian on a driven German equatorial mount w/ drive. Primarily involved in cometary, supernovae and planetary research. I was involved in the Harvard SUNSEARCH program, an intensive protocol for identifying extra-galactic supernovae events, mainly in remote spiral and barred-spiral galaxies. Involved in the SETI Institute remote-floating-point operations program.
