| Introduction | I think that it goes to show what kind of person I am when you look at my paintings. I am not overly conflicted or consumed by external negative influences in the world. I simply paint a moment from a person's life. Usually it is a presentation of a solitary moment. I find isolation appealing and necessary, in solitude one gets to know yourself and only there I believe it is possible to integrate with our worst demon: ourselves. As much as we need people in order to grow and expand, we also need silence in order to understand our growth. |
