| Introduction | "Creating my c. "URBAN EQUINE" art is a bit of a bareback ride; I combine mediums in new and regenerative ways that evoke movement, energy and life. What gives my work its edge is a deep personal familiarity with the physical horse…and an expansive sense that the movement is bigger than what you see.” My modern equine art is inspired by movement and connection ... by the form in the cloud. I combine mediums in new and regenerative ways, and blend the art of drawing in the spirit of painting as a transition from simplicity to complexity and back again - this gives a feeling of vitality, energy and life to my works. Whether a minimalist ink calligraphy sketch, gestural life-size mixed media oil painting, or bronze equestrian sculpture, my “Urban Equines” have been called “compelling, evocative,” and “refreshing”.
