Introduction oo la la! has been open for just over 2 years now and I started this blog in October 2009 during a shopping trip to Paris. I was sending emails back and forth to my customers (the email database has grown to just over 300) and the blog just seemed to make sense. From a fashion perspective, I admit that I adore a well made and a well cut garment and the right accessories always bring everything together quite nicely. My husband calls me a "Fashion Bug" and I have been told that I have "an eye" and I'd like to think that is true; but fashion - like all art - is so subjective, isn't it? This blog is about me, my store, my travels for my store, my adventure projects outside of the store, and in some cases my fab (and not so fab) customers. I like to think of this as Adult Show N' Tell which, of course, was one of my favorite activites in school (smiling). Thanks for stopping by! And enjoy my jibber jabber; I only aim to please...
Interests (1) I have many interests; fashion being one of them. (2) I have over 250 people on the store email list and less than 10 followers on this blog. But since I only started this blog in October, I'll give myself a breaky break. LOL. (3) I like styling people and when I'm motivated, I like wearing some of the fantastic pieces I own in my closet. Because my life isn't as glam as it used to be, I spend most of my time in jeans or dressed pretty casually, but don't let that fool you; I love putting together a wicked outfit. ;-) (4) My other interest is in celebrating culture and empowering people to feel good about the skin they're in (see http://www.OneBrownGirl.com). (5) I adore the tropics, I adore the sea, and I adore camping; therefore, it makes sense that I love tropical camps with water-based activities (please see http://www.CampCaribe.com). (6) Culture, fashion, travel and good people rock.
Favorite Movies I like old movies and musicals; not only do the storylines always have happy endings, but the clothes were always to die for.
