About me

Introduction I think it would be okay to say I became a Rebbetzin by accident. I fell in love with and married my husband ,who is a Conservative Rabbi. I am religious (not frum) if religious means believing in G-d and G-d's influence on all things. It's a thought I'd rather not try to unravel just now-too much like sorting colored glitter from a snow globe. Much effort and more often than not one is likely to forget what the point was. I try to help my husband in his daily tasks; I also try to do "support service" so he doesnt have to think about them. People still ask me, "What do you DO all day?" Although, after repeating it back, it has slowed down considerably... paint, write, cook, shop, visit, babysit...Except for the occational prying question:Do you dye your hair? Do you take regular perscriptions? Where do you wash the dogs? (Seriously) Educated but left my rather lucrative job when we moved and have yet to find a new one.
Interests Writng (master of the obvious), painting, cooking and hosting (good thing considering), Small dogs, large rose bushes, teaching (both religious and secular)
Favorite Movies Etrnal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Vanilla Sky; Twenty-one; Wristcutters:A love story. I'll think of more...The Bee Movie, Mosnters Inc
Favorite Books As a Literature and Creative Writing teacher I know the obvious answers. Assume I've read most or more of the appropriate classics. Good story telling trumps having a set of cliffs notes on behalf of your book. Having said that... Pretty much anything by Ira Levin, Stephen King, also Tabatha King who seems to be a great story teller in her own right. I recently read the Odd series by Dean Kootz, and his Frankenstien Trilogy. Good stuff. I read the Fay Kellerman series, however I am not usually a mystery or history buff-did I meantion it's all about the story. I really liked the Rashi's Daughter's series by Maggie Anton. Favorites? These are mostly recent...but I'd recommend them...I am an avid reader.
