| Introduction | The Midnight Stitcher began when I was a child, as I have been creating things ever since I can remember. Growing up in the Detroit area, I was surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the city and the roar of racing muscle cars. Though I was grateful to call Detroit home, something quieter called to me: Northern Michigan. Now, over 40 years later, I wake up every morning and feel blessed that I live where many call a vacation/getaway spot. I am surrounded by the beauty of nature; this is instant inspiration, thus my creative juices begin to flow. I jot notes and journal ideas to keep up with my thoughts so they don’t slip away! At sunset, my mind is full and I am ready to let the energy of the day begin to work. As the evening wears on, specifically around midnight, textures, shapes and colors come together as muses for my projects. It is hard to keep up with this creative energy; there simply isn’t enough time in a day to process every waking thought! Alas, “The Midnight Stitcher” officially came to life. So, grab your journal, bring your creative energy, and settle into the wee hours of the night where we can create, share, discuss, and inspire each other. Let the journey begin! |
