| Introduction | Since I was a little girl, I've always loved music. I would sing along to songs on the radio or to cassette tapes of various songs. As I entered 5th grade I paid close attention to my music teacher each time we went to music class. It was then that I learned how to read music and picked up on how to play the piano. As I entered into Jr. High, I signed up in the Orchestra class to learn to play the violin, played the entire three years I was in Jr. High, and loved every minute of it. I drove my parents crazy at home practicing on my violin. LOL My family moved to another city when I started high school. The new high school I attended, did not offer an orchestra class or I would have definitely continued playing. Since they did not, there was several years that went by where I did not play. Several years ago, I started to miss and longed to play again. I gave hints to my dad for an entire year of my interest in playing again. My dad bought me a violin for Christmas and I started playing again. I am now playing the fiddle/violin in the band at my church and I'm loving every minute of it. I still sing and listen to music, as well. |
