Introduction	Born in the shadows of the mountain where the Devil and Captain van Hunks still compete with each other, puffing away on their pipes... An african barefoot child, loving the bright blue skies, the smell of crushed jasmine in the summer heat or to see how the sunbaked earth steams after a highveld shower..but yet, always feeling that I did not belong.. As a young woman shaped by tragedy and loss, laughter and joy, fear and anger, but always searching, the overwhelming need to find a sense of belonging..in a country that has become strange and unfamiliar. And finally, this is me...having explored and discovered what it was that I so much was looking for, the yearning for the unknown coming to an end...but now embarking on a journey, not only spiritually...but physically.
