| Introduction | The first question God asked Adam in the Garden after the Fall was, “Where are you Adam?” This wasn’t a question of geography. It wasn’t even a question God didn’t know the answer to. The question was for Adam and it was a question of the heart. Adam where did you go? You used to depend upon Me. You used to find your life in me. Where did your heart go? Where did you go on the inside – you with you . . . you with others . . . you with Me? God still asks this question today. And it’s a question we answer with our heart . . . not our head. Who am I? I am a man who sometimes thinks he is a boy. A friend who is still learning what it means to be a friend. A father of six who was in over his head after the birth of my first. A grateful husband who most of the time does not know how to be the man I promised to be almost 30 years ago. I am a man on a journey: wandering, discovering, wondering, finding, questioning, believing . . . sometimes out loud. |
