| Introduction | I am a media law trainer and I co-authored the 18th, 19th and 20th editions of McNae's Essential Law for Journalists. I contribute articles on media law to The Guardian. I also work as a media law consultant. Clients I have worked with include: Press Association, BBC, Northcliffe Newspapers, The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, Johnston Press, London Metro, London Family Courts, Durham Police, Northumbria Police, Cafod, Barnardo's, Greenpeace, the GMC, Durham University, Durham County Council and Comic Relief. In 2010 I was invited to be a member of the Ministry of Justice's working group looking at the law of libel.
