Introduction	All my life I have harboured a dream of developing my interest in art & design but any dreams went out the window the minute the bills came through the door. However, things have changed recently and after 30 years in teaching, I have had the chance & the time to follow those dreams. For several years I have been painting in acrylics & watercolours as well as drawing in graphite & charcoal. Much to my amazement, I have had 3 paintings chosen for exhibition this year which has inspired me to branch out further with my design ideas. I have been practising jewellery making and attending various metal working courses to improve my techniques and skills. The addition of a blue Victorian style conservatory in the garden has offered the necessary room & chance of developing my design ideas now without fear of setting fire to my inquisitive cats with the blow torch. As the New Year starts I am hoping to spend more time on jewellery making, so watch this blog!
