Introduction I strive to make visible the invisible, subconscious and unseeable. (Or simply to amuse myself and maybe you)! My art practice explores everyday events, ideas and materials in playful, unexpected ways to give an inviting, positive entry with food for further thought. I give equal concern to the seeming low as the high, to point up the underlying depth and power A thread through all my work is the back and forth transformation of energy from the cosmos to the mind to the physical world -the unseen to the seen.. Physically my work plays between 2, 3 and sometimes 4 dimensions. For as long as I can remember, I have frolicked and danced like a crazy fool to the tune of experimental art and cosmic energy play, and (although it has taken its toll on my meat suit) as I approach my last quarter, with time accelerating like a jet plane; I plan to continue dancing until I drop.
Interests I am interested in engaging the viewers mind, spirit and body with my work. Humor and experimentation are always at the forefront. I like to use humble materials ( fishline & fishnets, salt, sand, clay, found & discarded materials, ordinary building materials showing their qualities in unexpected ways. I use materials with macho connotations in employing female craft methods. - blah, blah, blah - - - You are the looker - the consumer -Art Expands when consumed. ............ I am interested in experimental art, architecture, and design, theoretical physics, growing varieties of bananas, gingers, bamboo & other sub- tropical gardening, the environment, alternative healing modalities, body surfing, the ocean & beach, dogs, and nouvelle food fads (vegetarian)
