Introduction "Chinatown, USA" is an experiment in consumerism. It documents a year of buying clothing manufactured in countries other than China. The ultimate goal is to draw attention to the complex issue of US companies outsourcing labor to other countries, China in particular, as well as to highlight the innovative, imaginative, and careful production of clothes and handicrafts made by small-business owners and artisans in the US.
