| Introduction | God has been a good Father to me. I married at 19. Three and a half years later I was a single parent; but I was not alone. With God’s help I raised my daughter to be a productive and delightful woman; and He added four beautiful and gifted granddaughters for my joy. Every one of my struggles was a blessing and for His glory. I trust God. Jesus said during His Sermon on the Mount (Mat. 7: 11-12,) “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you…” I ask my Father’s help for big and little things. He is never short of “good gifts” for me but uses other people to provide them – jobs, prayer, encouragement, friendships, and countless favors that I don’t deserve. I am retired now and can devote lots more time to give back and serve. Through this blog I can share what is of greatest value in my life, God’s Word and prayer – as in Mat. 7:12, I can “do to others what (I) would have them do to (me).” James 5:16 |
