Introduction Member, PPA, WPPI, Frum Simchas Photography -shooting Jewish Simchas in my community. I was given the encouragement by community members to shoot their special events. I turned a passion into a business without losing the love of capturing special moments in peoples lives. I recently retired from my day job and am preparing to adopt the passion for photography as the next step in my working life. I started shooting and processing film as a camper in summer camp before the age of 10. When I joined the Navy at age 17, I soon had an "Instamatic" that was used in my travels. In 1972, I was on the island of Roi Namur in the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands where I bought my first 35 mm SLR, a Pentax Spotmatic II with some really fine lenses. I was able to process all my B&W in our little darkroom and sent off all my slide film to Kodak for processing. That is where I learned a tremendous amount along with some friends. I was hooked on a great hobby and past-time which eventually evolved into Frum Simchas Photography.
