Introduction Ken Joslin was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in Lynwood, CA. His paintings are created in Long Beach, CA, where he works full time on his paintings. Ken was recognized at an early age for his creative drive and was inspired by his elementary and high school teachers. Encouraged by family and friends, Ken studied art throughout secondary school. After high school graduation, he attended Otis Parsons College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA, where he majored in Illustration and Painting. Ken's painting style has been influenced by artist such as Jacob Lawrence, George A. Hunt, Joseph Holston, William Tolliver, and Robert Gwathmey. His work is created in a variety of styles and has been described as "liberating" and "powerful." His use of bold color and heavily-textured canvas create an energy of movement on the canvas and are unique to his painting style, enticing the viewer to step closer to his work. Today, Ken's work can be seen in homes, and notable businesses and corporate conglomerates nationwide; as well as in the collections of notable individuals, including Michael Jordan (N.B.A.) Legend.
