Introduction | I started this blog while I was priest at Canon Davis Memorial Church in Sarnia. I had a two year contract from 2010 to 2012 but the church could no longer afford full-time priestly ministry so I "retired" and returned to Toronto, where my wife Coline and I own a condominium and where our grown children, and now grandchildren live. This January after 17 months away from full-time parish work I have started as incumbent of the parish of Bobcaygeon, Burnt River and Dunsford, in the Diocese of Toronto.Ordained as priest in 2001 in the Anglican Diocese of Calgary, I have had a varied career in journalism working for a weekly magazine, CFAC TV Calgary, the Calgary Herald and the United Church Observer as staff writer then newswriter. I studied theology at Trinity College, the Toronto School of Theology and graduated with a Master of Divinity Degree in 2001. After serving in Calgary and Brandon Dioceses, I am now happy to be back in my home province of Ontario with my wife Coline, near our children and grandchildren. |
