| Introduction | Like many others in my field [print journalism] I was "reduced" or "whacked" or "fiscally corrected" recently. So, while I look for another job, I'll write freelance stories, author this blog and hope to keep a semblence of sanity. A little about me: I'm 35, married, have one four year old human tornado of a daughter named Liz and another little cyclone due to arrive in August 09. My wife, Lisa, deserves a lot of credit for taking responsibility for us kids, even though she stresses out way too much in our humble opinion. We have no pets. At least, not yet. Or, anymore. We used to have a cat named Gibby, who smelled bad but was generally a good companion until he tried to rip Liz's ear off one evening. Now, Gibby belongs to an elderly lady in Chicago. My likes include making people laugh, watching sports, being with my family, writing and listening to mellow music. As for dislikes? Read the blog. I'm sure a few will crop up from time to time.
