Introduction	At six, Fern engineered a grabber (out of spoons and rubber bands) that retrieves socks from behind the dryer. Now nine, she continues to make cat toys and Lego robots. Her favorite robot was an artist; it drew pictures. Fern is also an artist and loves to cook, draw and import earthworms to the garden beds. She keeps the chickens and cat fed, clean, and happy. She loves learning Mandarin, piano, and math. She has been known to stay up until 1 a.m. reading.
