Introduction	I am a sociologist, writer, and mentor whose work is rooted in the lived realities that are too often misunderstood and misrepresented; that is unheard. I work with auto/biographical, feminist and creative methodologies to make visible stories and emotions frequently dismissed or overlooked. I hold honorary/visiting positions at the universities of Plymouth, Greenwich and Bath and Co-Founding Director of the Ethical Exercise Lab https://ethical-exercise-lab.com. Alongside my academic work, I increasingly write for wider publics, weaving sociological insight with narrative forms to challenge who is listened to, whose experiences count, and how we come to know what we know. I write fiction and memoir, some published at abctales.com/gletherby and often embed creative pieces within more traditionally academic outputs. I also run creative writing workshops and retreats for academics, activists, and others, details of which are available at www.gayle-letherby.co.uk.
