| Introduction | My name is Kristin McAnaney (formerly Palmer). I have been teaching in the History Social Studies Department at Westford Academy for twenty years. Currently I am teaching World History II to freshmen (CP1 and Honors) and European History Advanced Placement to seniors. I have taken a number of technology classes with Stephanie via the University of Westford and I have always come away with something practical to utilize in my classroom with my students - whether it is an imovie or podcast project or setting up a Wiki to post course information/ homework. I am looking forward to this class because it is the first online class that I have ever taken. This in itself will be a challenge for me as I am a traditional classroom learner and I don't consider myself to be tech/computer savvy. I hope to learn more about digital resources and how to integrate them into my classroom as well as to become more confident about my own digital literacy skills. Recently married (2012) and a new homeowner, my husband and I have been busy working on our old but "new to us" Victorian house. We enjoy the outdoors, hiking, skiing and spending time at the beach in the summer. |
