| Introduction | I realized a great deal of my time is spent buying, cooking, preparing and/or eating FOOD. I decided to start this blog to journal some of my food-based adventures. I love to try new recipes and restaurants. I am no fearless crusader, so fear not my friends. You will not find organ meat recipes or hear me applauding monkey brain restaurants. I am very squeamish about food textures and can't eat meat that I can identify as once alive. I eat alot of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables during the week and do most of my dining out on the weekends. On vacation, I usually set our agenda around foods and restaurants that I have found in magazines or were recommended by others. If you are curious about the moniker, Fidel Gastro, sufficed to say my tummy is quite the tyrant. It doesn't process preservatives, most grains, dairy and processed sugar very happily but will in small batches. I, however, rule the belly and will sometimes err on the side of joyful tastebuds. |
