Introduction A veritable dustbin of sparkly factoids. Don't let the fact that I smoke Gauloises put you off. It's a habit, not an indication of moral turpitude. I like anything in a martini glass too. I used to say I hated politics, sport and reality TV. Then the Olympics happened. Now I just hate politics and reality TV. My favourite quote is "Why must you tell me all your secrets when it's hard enough to love you knowing nothing?" (Lloyd Cole, for you Google searchers). Optimist by nature, pessimist by experience. Oh, and I'm a ginger.
Interests reading, reading, accumulating useless but fascinating information, sleeping, reading, cooking, reading, eating, timewasting, failing to act my age, biting off more than I can chew, etymology, perfume, being right, losing graciously.
Favorite Movies Tampopo, Night Watch, Day Watch, State And Main, Zazie Dans Le Metro, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, All That Jazz, The Last of Sheila, Blowout, The Right Stuff, Grosse Pointe Blank, The Wicker Man, Wings of Desire, The Boy Friend, The Hudsucker Proxy, Edward Scissorhands, Ratatouille, Singing in the Rain, The Railway Children, The Big easy, Amateur, The Unbelievable Truth, Magnolia, Almost Famous, The Producers (original version), Romuald et Juliette, Novecento, Amateur, Eating Raoul, 2001, To Kill A Mockingbird, Shaun Of The Dead, Moulin Rouge, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, The Possessed (the film a very young Harrison Ford wishes he'd never made - but we love Joan Hackett spitting nails)
Favorite Music Everything except R'n'B reggae and Stockhausen. And see "songs I am annoyingly unable to stop singing" in the sidebar for an idea of how bored I currently am.
