Introduction | I've been riding motorcycles since I was 13 years old when I bought my first motorcycle, a 1950 Harley Davidson Panhead, for $300. Wish I had that now!! My first flat tracker was a Morini Franco 100. No brakes. My 2nd build was a Ital Jet 90 that I cafed with clubman handle bars and swapped out the original motor for the Morini Franco 100 and opted for brakes. I rode the wall of death on an Indian Scout for the carnival at 17. At 18 I was professionally flat track racing on an XR750 Harley Davidson. This was the beginning of my fiberglass parts career. I owned and operated Unauthorized Harley in Sarasota, Florida in my mid twenties specializing in bobbers and choppers. For those of us that can remember back far enough, me with my 1959 Triumph Bonneville and my buds on their British twins would race through the night from Sambo's restaurant in Coral Gables to Papa John's all night pizza in Ft. Lauderdale Beach for a quick bite. Then it was back racing down Collins Ave. towards South Beach. I am also a licensed 100 ton boat captain and have circumnavigated on a sailboat. My wife and I have lived aboard and cruised the FL keys and ICW. |
