| Introduction | I am a First Class Honours student of Graphic Design and Photography at De Montfort University. Whilst at University I took part in the Guru Scheme. I was part of a team that worked with first year students helping them to develop their skills in graphic design and guide them through their first year at University. In the summer of 2010 I had the opportunity to work on “Your Weather” a mobile app for Windows 7 phones developed by TBS in conjunction with the Met Office. It was my responsibility to design all 34 weather icons within the app. More recently I worked on a competition brief for Leicestershire Fire and Rescue service, which I won. The brief was to create a campaign to promote fire safety to the elderly. My campaign was based around the idea of memories and featured photographic posters that aimed to remind the elderly of all the keepsakes they have collected over the years and how quickly they could lose them. I am a hardworking and conscientious person eager to expand my knowledge and skills in an ever-evolving design industry. I enjoy working as part of a team as well as individually and I am hoping to acquire new skills through working with established professionals. |
