Introduction	I like to walk just about everywhere. I lead long (8-20 mile), usually urban or suburban, hikes for various NYC area hiking clubs including Shorewalkers, Outdoors Club, Interstate Hiking Club and NY Ramblers (all have websites - check them out and join). More than half the fun is perambulating about looking for dots to connect on these hikes. Since the things I stumble across find their way somewhat haphazardly into hikes, I am trying this blog to share the fruits of this effort with those who might be interested in these various dots including those which may never make it into a hike. Also featuring some highlights from my own hikes and hikes of others I participate in and perhaps some odd unrelated things from time to time.
