| Introduction | Andrea Dawson born and raised in the hills of Western Pennsylvania right outside Pittsburgh PA. Second eldest of 10 siblings, 5 girls and 5 boys. Music always had a strong calling with Andrea from very early on. Every major childhood memory or event is more associated with the music of the times than the event itself! A lover of many types of music, with a first love of Soul music, you'll find traces of Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Candy Staton and the women who first made their mark on the black music of the early 60s and 70s in her sound. She has been transplanted in Dallas Texas for near 20 years now as a refuge from the unbearable and everlasting winters of Pittsurgh. Although a grateful transplant her heart still belongs to Pittsburgh "Steelers". to be continued when I can think of some more interesting stuff.... |
