| Introduction | In no particluar order: WIFE, MOTHER, SISTER, DAUGHTER, FRIEND, EDUCATOR, ATHLETE, BELIEVER. I have been in the field of education for 15 years. I graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in Biology and Elementary Education (with an unofficial degree in Women's Basketball as a proud member of the Duke Blue Devils from 1995-1999.) I received my M.Ed. from North Carolina Central University in Elementary Education, with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and served as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Triangle Day School, a K-8 school located in Durham, NC. Currently, I am the Head of Lower School at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC where I have also taught second grade and served as the Assistant Head of Lower School. I have a wonderful husband and we have a beautiful daughter named Simone and a handsome son named Tre. I love my family and my job, and I am constantly trying to find balance so I can give both passions as much as possible- without sacrificing too much of myself. |
