When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?
No, because I can see when I open my eyes, and I know that I am floating and always will be as long as I keep my body buoyant. It is extremely unlike when I am at great heights and looking down - then, and only then do I fear of falling because I know that I am not lighter than air and the only landing I will have is a crash.
