Introduction I am an idealist on the verge of becoming a harsh realist (just come follow me one day through the woes and triumphs of teaching & you will see what I mean...). I love life, God, and laughing. I have an EXTREME OCD, clean almost to the point of clinical. I'm an optimist. Cats rule! GO VOLS! I love NHRA drag racing high school basketball. I am an Anglophile and I love to travel. I want to move to Ireland. I LOVE SHAKESPEARE--his dramatic parallels to modern life are too outrageous and obvious to ignore. I love the mountains. I love the South (but not in a Redneck- The-South-Will-Rise-Again!-way...ick.) I love classic French country style, toile, and black and white photography--all put together. I hate the 20th century post-modern take on life (read Yeats The Second Coming) and I ABSOLUTELY HATE (more than anything else in the world) bloody, slasher, torture movies...I think it speaks volumes about humanity that we pay money to go sit in a dimly lit theater and watch fellow humans torture each other...ahh, alas, we are ALL voyerists at heart... :( Here is to the downfall of modern society... Oh, and I love teaching...most days...but I digress...
Interests sleeping, thinking, reading, shopping, eating, pretty much anything with an "-ing" suffix
Favorite Movies Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (the one w/ Gene Wilder), Napoleon Dynamite, Blow (LOVE Johnny Depp here), Wizard of OZ, Office Space (who doesn't like that one??), The Indiana Jones Trilogy, Talladega Nights, Ocean's Eleven, A Christmas Story, Monty Python's Holy Grail (Ni! Ni!), Signs, To Kill a Mockingbird, Dumb and Dumber, and many, many more...
Favorite Music TOO MUCH to list! Zeppelin (NO comparision), Skynyrd, Pearl Jam (the OLD stuff), Queen, Beastie Boys, Dre (ONLY old school gangsta rap), Bon Jovi, Audio Slave, Guns n' Roses, Pink Floyd, The Killers, U2, Metallica, 311, The Cure, Johnny Cash, Journey, The Eagles, classic DC Talk and Newsboys...I could go on forever!
Favorite Books The Power of a Praying Wife, Dracula, Wicked, The Awakening, The Great Gatsby, Brave New World, anything by Hemingway and Tolkien, and Tennessee Williams, To Kill a Mockingbird (read it 12 times as of this semester but NEVER grow tired of it), The Shining, The Chronicles of Narnia, Sister Carrie, The Little House on the Prairie Series, A Million Little Lies (the parody of Frey's A Million Little Pieces--I laughed out loud 20, 000 times) anything by John Saul...I'll read it all; I teach literature, remember?

What's the title of the first "007" movie ever made? (Hey, they said "random...")
