About me

Introduction Tyler is a landscape and garden coach in Phoenix, Arizona. He helped plant his first tree at the age of four, and has been gardening and landscaping ever since. His first landscaping business was helping customers on his paper route plant roses and bedding plants, a service for which he was paid entirely in cookies. In his own gardens, Tyler has made almost every mistake possible, and a few that should have been impossible (ask him sometime about The Adventure of The Great Sinking Pecan Tree). Tyler is a Certified Desert Landscaper, a Master Gardener, and a member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), the Arizona Community Tree Council, the Western Chapter of ISA, and a few of the more obscure plant councils. Formerly, Tyler was senior program coordinator for Urban Horticulture at the University of Arizona's Maricopa County Cooperative Extension, where he helped teach the finest group of volunteer Master Gardeners in the state.
