| Introduction | Dr. Lew Davis was born in Americus, Georgia and grew up in Florida. Mariesa was born in the Winter Haven Hospital and graduated in Lakeland, Florida. They answered the call into fulltime missions in 1984. They attended Fountain Gate Bible College under Dr. Fuchsia Pickett. Immediately after graduation, they left to work in the Marshall Islands in 1989. The work in the Marshall Islands continues, but God sent the Davises to Bolivia for two years and now they are serving in the nation of Perú. Mariesa has a BS in Nursing and Lew has a Doctorate in Theology and in Religious Education. They are the founders of New Heart Ministries International. NHMI is a not for profit mission organization registered in the state of Florida. NHMI is under the spiritual leadership of Winter Haven Worship Center in Winter Haven, Florida.
