| Introduction | I am a graduate student in NYU's department of journalism. My current research focuses on the rise of HIV in young, gay New Yorkers, particularly in communities of color. I am interested in the role that African American churches can play in either helping or exacerbating stigmitization of HIV and homosexuality. I am also interested in the House Ballroom scene, a vibrant and creative subculture that has receieved too little attention from the public health establishment. aic225@nyu.edu |
