| Introduction | I live in the Northeast with my husband and college aged son. I am starting to get this blog thing down! My daughter and her husband announced in October that we would be grandparents. Then on Christmas Eve 2009, I received a call telling me that they were expecting twins!! It is hard to believe that on May 21st they will be one! The time certainly flies. I am a special education teacher by trade, but love to do many homey type activities. I enjoy teaching people how to can and preserve food. I take pleasure in seeing all my beautiful jars of food on the shelves which help to feed the family throughout the winter months. There is something to be said about not having preservatives in the food you eat! I enjoy sewing not only clothing but also quilts and toys. I like to work on geneology, scrapbooks and rubber stamping. Most of all, I enjoy tending to my house and family. I cherish and enjoy my school vacations to get in touch with "me time" and home. |

| Favorite music | I like the soft contemporary music. I do listen to some country and some hip hop, but I really enjoy music that does not make my head ache when listening to it! |
| Favorite books | I would have to say the Bible and book of Mormon are at the top. I also like to read historical fiction. I love to read quilting books and craft type book as well. Out of print recipe books are a hit with me as well. |
