Introduction	I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains in Southwest, Virginia. I have been a public school teacher and librarian. Most of my career was spent in college libraries.I am retired and spend my time writing, leading book clubs and teaching Memoir Writing for Life Long Learning at Coastal Carolina University.
Interests	Reading, writing, traveling.
Favorite movies	The King's Speech, Fried Green Tomatoes, Gone With the Wind, The Help, Philamena
Favorite music	Any that is performed well. I especially like the music of the 1950's.
Favorite books	The Worst Hard Times, The Last Child by John Hart, Any of Dicken's books, The Help, Sarah's Key
