Introduction | Welcome to my site about my Naturally Reared Carolina Dogs! Carolina Dogs are a relatively new, rare breed recognized by the UKC, AKC-FSS & ARBA, and are quite possibly America's own indigenous wild dog. CDs make wonderful companions, athletes, hunters, and bedwarmers! Natural Rearing is the philosophy wherein we raise our dogs and puppies by following the 8 Laws of Health, employing Biologically Appropriate Raw Food and no toxic chemicals on, in or around our dogs. We have found this way of life fosters balance, health and longevity in our beloved companions. For our puppies, we welcome homes that have a very similar philosophy about dog rearing, or wish to learn. Check us out, follow us and share us in other places!!! Interests | Excerpt from The Pariah, by the famous naturalist, environmentalist and Tamil scholar M. Krishnan. "...other and rarer virtues...It is tractable, clever, even sagacious, self-reliant and absolutely incorruptible. It has an extremely hardy constitution...There is no better house-dog. It is so clever and willing, you can teach it practically anything, it never makes friends with strangers whatever the bait, and will wake and give voice at the slightest suspicion of anything wrong. It does not keep howling all night, nullifying all attempts at sleep, but barks only when there is good reason. It is this quality, rather than the desire and ability to maul, that is wanted in a watch-dog and the Pariah has it." |
Favorite Movies | OUR MISSION STATEMENT We believe in giving our dogs and puppies the very best start in life and continuing that support throughout their lives, by observing the principles of Natural Rearing; Species Appropriate Diet, Minimal or No Vaccinations, Minimal Exposure to Potentially Harmful Chemicals and Holistic Veterinary Care. Additionally, we will continue our own education in these areas and willingly educate others about Natural Rearing and Carolina Dogs. We occasionally breed registered Carolina Dogs for great homes. We breed for Form for the Function of Healthy Wild Living, and True Carolina Dog Traits, as well as Excellent Temperament. My CD pack is first and foremost our family pets, and every decision we make concerning them is made with that in mind. We want them to be healthy, secure and happy because they are members of our family, therefore, extensive research has gone into our philosophy of how to keep them that way. |
Favorite Music | Since we have made pets of this awesome, rare breed, we do bear the responsibility for their care. At NWCDs, we observe the principles of Nature aka, the 8 Laws of Health and use Natural modalities when needed to keep our CD dogs & puppies as healthy as the Carolina Dogs that have thrived in the U.S. Southeastern wilds for thousands of years. We hope you will agree and endeavor to learn all about Natural Rearing and keeping your Carolina Dog "Healthy Wild" |
