Introduction Hello friend, you've found us, excellent! We've already met, you already know me. I am just like you. I see myself nothing out of the ordinary, just your everyday human being, same hopes and fears as everyone else on this crazy ball of rock and earth, whipping through space at a truly eye-watering pace of knots. These blogs are a response to the requests by my friends from both the Manchester Buddhist Centre and beyond who have taken a liking to my musings and wish to see them available to a wider audience. Thanks for the support guys, many, many others writers have already I'm sure voiced my observations previously, and what I write, I do so (to paraphrase Shantideva) only for the purposes of fragrancing my own mind and dedicate any merit earned to the benefit of all sentient beings. May you be well. May you be happy. I am an aspiring author who is looking to make 2014 the year I get my first book published, and any help, advice or support would be so massively appreciated!! So please consider leaving a comment or sharing on Facebook or Twitter (@thedharmafarmer) - May you live in peace.
Interests The usual... Getting the most out of life, teaching music, reading, the Great Outdoors... Need I mention The Three Jewels, cooking, and generally trying to be a decent human being? Probably not. Far too obvious!
Favorite Movies Pearl Jam Twenty, City of God, 300, Rebecca, Jurassic Park, Gone With The Wind, Freddy Got Fingered, Lovers of the Arctic Circle, The Cell, Kundun, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Independence Day, Downfall, Silence of the Lambs, Chasing Amy... Etc... a mixture of classics and crap...
Favorite Music Anything sincere.... Especially F.I.G.M.O!
Favorite Books Of Human Bondage (Somerset Maugham), The Dhammapada (Gautama Buddha), White Teeth (Zadie Smith), Moon Under Sixpence (Somerset Maugham again), Going Against The Stream (Sangharakshita), Gautama Buddha (Vishvapani), anything by Bill Bryson, Love All The People, All The Time (Bill Hicks) and the simply brilliant Zen Wrapped in Karma Dipped in Chocolate (Brad Warner).

Which is the greater achievement: being human, or a human, being....?
