Introduction | Elisabeth Hewlett is a painter from Montreal, Quebec. She received her DEC in Illustration and Design from Dawson College and her BFA with Distinction (painting and drawing) from Concordia University in Montreal. Following her training as an illustrator, she worked for years with clients from a wide range of fields. Since 2012, Hewlett has gravitated back towards fine art and a deeper form of expression and communication. Her work has been featured in various venues and publications, most recently as part of the juried group portrait exhibition 'Semblance' at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, Ohio, a juried group collection of contemporary works at Stewart Hall Art Gallery in Pointe Claire, Quebec, as well as on the set of “Virage” on cable channel NOOVO. Recent publications include Galeria Artelibre's special catalogue for Mod Portrait 2021, presented by Galeria Arte Libre & MEAM. Her paintings can be found in private collections across Canada. |
