Occupation | Primary Extension Teacher teaching Creative Writing, Proofreader, FOH usher at QPAC, Administration Manager |
Location | Brisbane, Qld, Australia |
Introduction | I enjoy reading and learning about the world around me (especially with a lovely steaming cup of coffee nearby). I also love to write...write and write some more. After leaving full time teaching in 2006 I enrolled in a Creative Writing Post Graduate Diploma course with Creative Industries, QUT at their Kelvin Grove campus. It was intense and a year I'll always remember because I absolutely loved it. I teach part time at a large Brisbane independent school in their Gifted and Talented program. I work with talented students who enjoy writing. I love this job because I get to share one of my passions with like-minded people and we have fun creating. I moved to Noosa and commute to Brisbane but the drive doesn't bother me too much as I entertain myself by singing and dreaming up ideas and plots for stories. I enjoy writing poetry, short stories and children's stories and one day hope to get published. If you've dropped by my blog, I do hope you find it interesting and useful, but most of all I hope you enjoy the time spent here. Thank you for taking the time to stay awhile...Deb |
