| Introduction | I live with my wife in the beautiful Tasman district in New Zealand. As a father and grandfather, I am interested in the things that affect the quality of life my children and their descendants will have. What we do now, or fail to do, will determine the future of life on our planet for centuries to come. Most of my working life has been spent in New Zealand manufacturing industries, from the factory floor to middle management, with several divergences into farming, beekeeping, forestry and self-employment. I was raised on a modest mixed dairy and beef farm on NZ's wild and remote West Coast. We didn't have very much, but we had enough and I thought we were rich. |

I've never done it. I love apples, but always eat the skin; it's the most healthful part.
