About me

Location Pendleton, Indiana, United States
Introduction Welcome to my Blog. I live and have my studio in the small, friendly, historic town of Pendleton, Indiana. Whether it is capturing an idyllic street scene, the way sunlight kisses my cat, or an amusing peek into some aspect of our human nature, I love to communicate what is in my heart with my paintbrush.

I spent 4 decades of my life in Colorado, and the last 12 of those years were spent in Niwot, Colorado. This charming historical town is named after “Chief Niwot” who was a peaceful, left-handed, Southern Arapahoe Indian Chief. “Niwot” literally means “left-handed” in the Southern Arapahoe language.

In honor of Chief Niwot we had “Left Hand Canyon,” “Left Hand Creek,” “Lefty’s Pizza,” and even “Left Hand Brewery” up the road, makers of “Sawtooth Ale.” I am left-handed so it seemed only natural that I would name my blog and website, “Left Hand Gallery.”
