| Introduction | Hello everyone, my name is Dave W. Butcher and I a Photo Stringer for the Hazleton Standard Speaker. The Hazleton Standard Speaker is a small regional newspaper in North Eastern PA. I work on a assignment based schedule and I go out and try to catch events as they happen. I was given this break by the City Desk Editor of the paper and once i got my foot in the door I have not looked back. I have had pictures published on the front page and through out the paper. This blog is my way of showing what I have had published through the paper and on line with them and a independent newspaper called the 1st Responder Newspaper of which I am also a concordant with. I fell in love with photography as a child and now I am living another one of my dreams. I have to thank my partner Abbey S. and my father Kenneth for believing in me and encouraging me to follow my dreams. My profile picture shows me living my other dream as a firefighter and I have to say that I am a happy man. |
