Introduction | I've been playing with toy soldiers and wargaming since I was about 11, so that's getting on for 50 years. My first proper club was Durham in 1971. Formed the short-lived Durham Old Boys with Paul and John but well, we got older and wound it up. My main wargaming activity was until recently, with the Independant Wargames Club - Robbie Roddis and John Reidy. I recently rejoined the Durham club but haven't been for quite some time for health reasons. I now get to game with a small circle of friends about 2-3 times a month which is great. My collections are all 28mm; several large Seven Years War armies (Prussians, Austrians, British/Hanoverian, Reichasermee and Russians), the Russian Civil War/Back of Beyond,ThirtyYears War, the French Revolution, Franco Prussian War, Austro Prussian War and the Crimean War. I have Sikh Wars on the go at present as well as some 1806 Prussians. |
Interests | Apart from wargaming? Books, cooking, being a good husband and a dad, a good read, a bit of culture, archaeology, history, genealogy. |
